camp report By Skyla!

 Camp report!

By Skyla. 22/9/20

It all started on Wednesday. Skyla got dropped off at school with all her bags and walked to the library. It was a mission but she made it.

Skyla saw her friend Niamh. They were so excited! The bell rang and they all went to class to do morning prayers. When morning prayers were over they talked about what you should do at camp and what you should not do. After talking for about 10-15 minutes they walked to the liraby and got their bags. They did the roll to make sure everyone was there.

After that everyone hopped on the bus and started their drive to Arthur's. They were about 20 minutes in, Niamh and Skyla remembered that Niamh brought loom bands. Skyla and Niamh Started a BIG rope made out of loom bands. They had so much fun! They saw the Arthur's Pass sign and they knew they were here. They met these two nice girls called Ruby and Isla. They told us where everything was and whose room you are in. We were about to go on a walk with our groups. It was kind of like a treasure hunt! Skyla and Niamh were at the back freezing cold, because it was raining.

When they got back they had lunch and ate. After eating for a bit everyone went to their rooms to have some free time. It was about tea time so everyone got called to the dining room. Ms Bright turned on the tv and put a movie on which was called the Karate Kid. They had 50 minutes to go but it was late and everyone had to go to bed. Everyone went to their room, got into their pjs, got their toilet bag and brushed their teeth. They talked a bit until parents came and everyone had to go to sleep.

Skyla had one of the worst sleeps in the world; she could not get to sleep. It was about 30 minutes in and she finally fell asleep. Next day everyone woke up, got changed and went to the dining room to have some breakfast. Some people were up pretty early but Skyla got a really big sleep in. After everyone was finished eating they got their lunch boxes and emptied then. They all lined up and went into the kitchen to put some food in their lunch boxes. Everyone got told to sit down and listen to Isla.

Isla said that everyone has to go and put on all their wet weather gear because they were going on the Sensory Trail. When they got there they had to answer some questions. When Skyla got the question right it was her turn to put the blindfold on and go on the trail. Skyla was half way through and she ran into a bush so she went under the rope but there was a bush on that side too. So she had to go back under and go right through the bush. Skyla was so scared because she heard a pig, Which was one of the adults. She finally made it to the end. When everyone made it to the end they all walked back to the cabin and had fun!

Weekend writing by Skyla.

Weekend Writing By Skyla.

31/8/20

On Skyla’s weekend she went to her dad’s house. When they got home they chilled and got into their comfy pj’s and went to sleep because it was very late. They woke up the next morning and got ready for the day. When they were all ready, they hopped in the car and went to the shops to buy some knee pads and other stuff. After so long of buying stuff in the shops Skyla put her knee pads and stuff on and got her skateboard and skated some ramps. Skyla also learnt how to go down the big ramp on the skateboard, she also fell off a lot! They were at the skate park for so long that it started raining so they had to go home and again get ready for bed.

They woke up and put on new clothes and went to go to their mum. When they met up with their mum they went to the pool because it was her mum's friend's kids b-day. They went for a swim in the pool because that is where the party was at. They had some cupcakes and opened some presents and went home and chilled for a bit. It was getting pretty late so they hopped into bed and went to sleep. They woke up and went to get ready for school and hopped in the car and headed out. That is the end of Skylas amazing weekend!😋

What I did at the weekend!

Intro: Each week in our class we are asked to write a short piece about our weekend. In it we are working on editing skills and third person writing.

What I did on the weekend!

On the weekend my friend Niamh came over and we did heaps of fun stuff. First we did some dances and then after that we went to the shop and got some snacks. When we got home from the shop we played some games on the ps4. After the games mum had to do something in town so we went with her and did some more dances in public. Then we went home and chilled  for a bit. After we chilled we went for a walk to see my mum at my sister's  friends mum's house. Then we started to walk back home. When we got home a couple minutes later mum got home and it was about night time. So me and Niamh got ready for bed. Well we didn’t really go to bed. We went to sleep at 1:37 really late!

Reflection: I learned that I have to put a space after and before a full stop!

Anzac day with my sister

ANZAC DAY 2020

Last week it was Anzac day me and my sister  Meah made a poster and some Poppies we had a great time working together and working as a team!  We made the Poppies out of a red New World bag and some wood to hold the poppies up and we also used some nails to nail the stick onto the bag then after that we pained the stick and we placed them out the front of our house ready for dawn service.
